Our commitment to the Metro South community goes beyond the basics of banking. Giving back to the communities we serve is important to us. Bridgewater Savings gives back to the community through 2 programs:
Bridgewater Savings Bank Donations
This program supports organizations within the communities Bridgewater Savings Bank serves. This can include programs to help local organizations with fundraising, sponsorships, community-related events, youth-related activities, elderly services, and drug awareness programs.

We do not make contributions to political organizations, campaign causes or candidates, or for religious purposes.
How to Apply
Organizations should complete a Donation Request Form. This form will be submitted to the Committee for review. Please attach any supporting documentation to the request along with an IRS tax determination letter indicating 501 (c)(3) status, if applicable.

Bridgewater Savings Charitable Foundation
In 2003, the Bridgewater Savings Charitable Foundation, Inc. was founded to enhance the social, educational and benevolent services that are the understructure of our community.
During the 2020 fiscal year, the Bridgewater Savings Charitable Foundation's funding priorities will include:
- Affordable Housing and Homelessness
- Drug Addiction / Opioid Abuse / Drug Awareness Programs
- Veterans Causes
- Youth Intervention Programs
- Financial Literacy Programs
Organizations are limited to one grant per year. If an organization receives a grant in the current fiscal year, they are prohibited from applying again until the next fiscal year.
The Charitable Foundation considers grant proposals from organizations including non-profits as defined in IRS Codes section 501 (c)(3). It also accepts applications from organizations that direct services to low-to-moderate income households in our defined market area; organizations that support development and maintenance of housing for low-to-moderate income households in our defined market area; organizations dedicated to improving the quality of community life in our defined market area, and to other organizations whose goals are determined to be consistent with the Foundation’s mission.
The Foundation does not provide funding for individuals, sports, individual schools or religious groups.
The Bridgewater Savings Charitable Foundation’s financial grants and monetary gifts support non-profit organizations whose work benefits communities served by the Bank.
Directors of the Bridgewater Savings Charitable Foundation evaluate grant requests, review proposals and make funding decisions. Grants of up to $2,500 are awarded to qualified non-profit organizations, based on demonstrated needs and existing resources. Financial support is contingent on the strength of Bank earnings and the Bank’s ability to make available funds to support its philanthropic endeavors.
The funding decision may take several weeks to complete. Applicants will be notified of their proposal outcome by email.
