Earlier this week, Governor Charlie Baker issued an Emergency Stay at Home order for all non-essential businesses through April 7th in an effort to slow the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19). We want to assure you that Bridgewater Savings Bank will remain open and our employees will continue to deliver secure and reliable banking services, and to ensure there is minimal interruption to the level of service you receive!

Last week, we made the decision to offer banking services through our drive-ups only. The response has been positive, and we appreciate your patience and understanding as we navigate this together! Due to the stay at home order and to further protect our customers and employees, we are reducing our drive-up hours at all locations starting, Monday, March 30th. The drive-up hours will be:

  • Monday – Friday: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
  • Saturday: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM

  • Thursday – Friday: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM

As a reminder, all depositor funds are safe, secure and fully insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) and Depositors Insurance Fund (DIF). FDIC insures each depositor up to $250,000, and DIF insures anything in excess of $250,000. This means that all funds in deposit accounts with BSB are 100% fully insured.

Effective Tuesday, March 17th, all Bridgewater Savings branch locations will offer banking services through drive-ups only. All branch lobbies will be temporarily closed to the public until further notice as a proactive measure to help mitigate the spread of illness.

We are taking these additional measures based on new information and guidelines from the Centers of Disease Control (CDC) and recommendations provided by Governor Charlie Baker. We are committed to the health and well-being of our customers, employees, and community.

As the public health concern surrounding the Coronavirus (COVID-19) increases, we would like to share some of the additional measures that we’ve put in place to keep everyone safe.

  • Hand sanitizer is available for customers and employees in all locations.
  • Our cleaning companies have been asked to be extra vigilant in disinfecting common areas.
  • We will continue to monitor our employees and take appropriate action to reduce exposure to other colleagues and customers. We have revised employee guidelines to ensure anyone exhibiting flu like symptoms has the ability to remain home.
  • Continued monitoring of the Coronavirus status to ensure we are prepared to meet the banking and safety needs of our customers.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the 2019 novel coronavirus (COVID-19) is a highly contagious respiratory illness first detected in Wuhan, China, in December of 2019. COVID-19 continues to spread from person-to-person and is a public health concern. Governor Baker has declared a state of emergency in Massachusetts.
