People Pay is an easy, secure way for you to make payments to another person using online banking or mobile banking. You can use People Pay to reimburse friends for lunch, pay roommates for rent and other expenses, and pay your babysitter, landscaper and more!
There are three convenient ways to use People Pay:
Account to Account
With Account to Account, funds are sent directly to the recipient’s bank account. You will need to provide the recipient's bank routing and account number and type of account (i.e. checking or savings). The funds will be withdrawn from your account as soon as you authorize the payment. Payments are sent via ACH and are received in 1-2 days.
Direct to PayPal
You can send funds directly to the recipient’s PayPal account by providing their email address. The funds will be withdrawn from your account as soon as you authorize the payment. Payments are sent immediately and the funds can be received in 1-3 business days - after the recipient claims the funds.
Let the Recipient Choose
If you're not sure which way to send the funds, let your recipient decide. Pickup instructions are sent to the recipient via email or text to give them the choice of having their funds deposited into their bank account or their PayPal account. You will need to provide either the recipient's email address or mobile phone number to send the payment. The funds will be withdrawn from your account when the recipient claims the payment. Once claimed, the recipient will choose whether to receive the funds into their bank or PayPal account.
